I have to say overall my first week went really well. The kids were a little tired of being in the stroller but they did get lots of fresh air this week! My body is holding up well and my mood is better than it has been in quite sometime! Yeah!!!
Last run/walk of the week...
distance- 3.63 miles
time- 12:43 per mile
My route was a little crazy because quite frankly I was just trying to log 3.5 miles in the quickest most efficient manner!
Here is the link to my route.

Oh my goodness.... Humidity!!!
So I logged 3 miles today in a futile attempt to run the whole way I ended up walking often because it was so very humid and my body was rebelling against the moisture.
anyway here are the stats-
humidity- 52%
temp- 72
miles - 3
mode- walk/run
avg. per mile- 11:42
Boo! I WILL do better next time! Wishing I had a partner this morning because I would have pushed myself a little harder.

moving, moving, moving...
Walked 6.5 miles yesterday and walked/ran 4 miles today! I find it is so much easier to do my mileage in the morning even if I am pushing to kids! They keep me company!
I ran into one of my neighbors on my walk this morning at about the two mile mark so it was nice to chat as we walked. She split off around 3 miles and I continued one more mile to bring the boys to school.
While I don't like being a big hot sweaty mess at preschool drop off, I do enjoy getting my exercise done and out of the way for the day! It was so humid and hot this morning that my hair was saturated with sweat by the time I got to preschool and on the way back home I just kept thinking that I really need to call about getting my summer haircut!!
Anyway I am trying to find a way to get my workouts and routes automatically uploaded from my app on my phone. I will keep you all posted! Hopefully it will be up and running for the official start date of May 1st!

First day...
Just so everyone knows, this is a trial week and that the official month will start on the 1st of May. I am trying out lots of new features of Blogger and trying to get everything nailed down before May 1st.
My 3 mile walk today in the drizzle was great and followed by a 1 mile cool down around the neighborhood. I am so fortunate in that the loop around my neighborhood is almost exactly 1 mile and I live right at the entrance to a greenway that allows me to run 1 1/2 miles out and 1 1/2 miles back not the most exciting run but it will suffice on days that I need to boost my mileage!!
The rising gas prices are making me truly look forward to this endeavor. I will be walking the kids to and from school when possible, so I am figuring that will add up ... 4 miles per day x 3 days per week=12 miles each week! Not sure how I am going to get the other 13 miles I need each week but I will figure it out as I go.

Let the journey begin!
I have been wanting to start this blog for a VERY long time. Please follow me on my journey to run/walk/skip/hop 100 miles each and every month for a year. I will be tracking my progress/ journey to health.
I encourage you to come along on my quest to a healthier me!
